Grenson. Great Footwear and a Great British Brand to Boot.
The very best of British design and innovation is typified by Grenson's, also known as 'The Good Shoe Company', who've cut their own path since they were founded over 166 years ago.
Grenson are the third oldest shoe maker in Britain and embrace their traditional approach while continuously adapting to the modern world. As a brand they are still moving forward and only opened their first direct-to-consumer store in London in 2008.
The Company produces both timeless classics and up-to-date footwear including boots, shoes, sandals, sneakers and even custom options allowing a choice of colour, sole, stitching, eyelets and laces - there really is something for everyone in their collections.
Produced from the very finest materials and crafted by hand, it takes up to 8 weeks to make their shoes and involves well over 200 individual operations. Grenson was one of the first brands to use the Goodyear Welt and is still doing so today. This shoe making technique may be time consuming, but the key benefit is that the shoes are strong and last a long time. It also means that the shoe can be re-soled many times over, making them a wonderful investment.
In a world where we consume too much let's celebrate Grenson's who make shoes that last a lifetime.
